ACADEMICS ACTIVITIES

The NRIUMSD, Hyderabad is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure for teaching, training and research. In order to link education with research and utilize the available facilities and infrastructure, the institute conducts Postgraduate (MD) Programme in Unani Medicine, under affiliation with the KNR University of Health Sciences, Telangana, since 2016. The institute provides monthly stipend to PG scholars. The institute is able to attract students from almost all parts of the country. Postgraduates of this institute are serving various premier institutions of Unani Medicine in India.

POSTGRADUATE (MD) PROGRAMME IN UNANI MEDICINE
No. of Disciplines with Intake Capacity :

• Moalajat (Medicine)
• Ilmul Advia (Pharmacology)

Intake Capacity :

• Initially, the intake capacity was 18 students (9 in each discipline).

Number of Graduates :

• Since 2016, 72 students have successfully completed their post-graduation and have been awarded MD (Unani) degrees from KNR University of Health Sciences, Telangana.

Current Enrollment :

• A total of 54 scholars (27 in each discipline) are currently enrolled at the institute.

DOCTORAL (PhD) PROGRAMME IN UNANI MEDICINE
During 2016-17 and 2017-18, the institute conducted PhD course in two disciplines of Unani Medicine – Moalajat (Medicine) and Ilmul Advia (Pharmacology) with intake capacity of 03 seats in each discipline in collaboration with Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
